Virtual Docent
The displayed visuals are from a model created during a Hackathon to exemplify the potential of Verizon's Location Technology (VLT). While involved in VLT's Digital Space Orchestration project (explained in a case study), I was dabbling with several emerging technologies to augment spatial awareness. This prototype exemplified how the fusion of indoor navigation, AI, machine learning and augmented reality could revolutionize the museum tour experience. Instead of depending on conventional audio and headphone tours, visitors could partake in a wholly immersive, intuitive exploration—facilitating deeper interactions with exhibits through instantaneous, context-sensitive insights.
NFL OnePass Venue Experience
In conjunction with Super Bowl LIV, Verizon Location Technology (VLT) worked collaboratively with the NFL to conceive an ingenious in-stadium directing solution, integrated within the NFL OnePass mobile application. The attribute facilitated effortless indoor and outdoor guidance, allowing attendees to rapidly find essential amenities like elevators, washrooms, food stalls, cash machines, and the closest parking area at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. We utilized real-time, blue-line instructions to simplify stadium navigation, eliminating any potential stress and augmenting the overall spectator experience. Moreover, we engineered the Venue Manager application, a management tool that empowered event coordinators to modify the stadium blueprint in real-time. This adaptation made way for instant alterations to account for temporary access limitations, special event territory boundaries, and fluid crowd management needs; thereby guaranteeing a seamless experience for all attendees and personnel.
Fearless Technology Group - Branding & Website
Fearless Technology Group (FTG) is a digital retail tech company that helps customers modernize and optimize their omnichannel commerce experience. Leveraging partnerships with Google Cloud Platform and Commercetools Solution, they harness advanced technology to drive digital transformation. In FTG's early stages, I worked with them to refine their brand identity and lead the design of their website, establishing a strong foundation for their market presence.
ODNI - Career Exploration & Discovery (CED)
While at EffectiveUI, I worked on two projects for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). The CED project, an unclassified initiative, aimed to address talent retention across U.S. intelligence agencies. ODNI recognized that agencies were losing skilled professionals to the private sector, in part due to the difficulty of discovering internal opportunities.
Previous attempts to create a centralized job-matching system had failed due to poor skills-matching algorithms and a cumbersome profile creation process—described by one interviewee as “totally unusable, just garbage.”
Our project had two key objectives:
Research best practices in form design and user engagement, applying insights from platforms with long-form profile creation.
Introduce ODNI to user-centered design, demonstrating how an iterative, research-driven approach could improve adoption and effectiveness.
This work laid the foundation for a more intuitive and effective talent-matching platform across intelligence agencies.
Slate - Warehouse Staffing App
During research for Verizon’s Digital Space Orchestration product, we discovered that warehouses and distribution centers struggled with staffing shortages—particularly in the wake of Covid, when last-minute no-shows became increasingly common. At the same time, we identified a pool of qualified individuals in surrounding communities who had the necessary training and credentials but lacked a direct way to connect with these opportunities. This insight led to the creation of Slate, a mobile app that streamlined credential verification and enabled workers to quickly claim open shifts. By introducing a gig-work model to warehouses and distribution centers, Slate helped businesses maintain operations while providing workers with greater flexibility and access to employment.
