Disney needed to increase its conversion rate of visitors to registered account holders and decrease the abandonment rate of those who began the registration process. Moreover, registration was siloed so access to online games and content on The Pirates of the Caribbean site, for example, did not grant access to the Toy Story site. I was tasked with creating a registration that offered universal access, provided a flexible UI that could quickly accommodate changing demands of stakeholders and legal requirement (collecting PII from minors is something of a legal minefield), and adapt to site-specific branding for an integrated customer experience.
