Nielsen User Research and Nielsen Online Project

Project Summary

My work for Nielsen spanned several engagements and was one of the deepest dives into an unfamiliar industry afforded me during my time at EffectiveUI.  I found myself as the sole researcher in the initial engagement, where I evaluated Nielsen’s then current solution tools, compared it with its competitors, and conducted remote interviews with users to create a project plan to move for redesigning its three main tools while establishing an information architecture and structural model that could consistently be applied across Nielsen’s entire set of solution software. This would be known as Nielsen Online.  In the following engagements, I was the lead for usability studies and the redesign of Nielsen’s @Plan, AdRelevance, and Answers tools.
